Section Four - Narrative


Narrative of Incident: At 10:32 SASP contacted RCFD in regards to a Fuel Tanker up in flames at the Fort Carson Mall. Rescue 1, Engine 1, Engine 11, Medic 1, and HazMat 2 were dispatched to the scene. I (Fatima Ahmed) took over the incident command. Engine 1 was tasked to begin the primary search for any souls within the cabin of the truck. None were found. Engine 11 was tasked to prep a line for a foam attack on the North Side of the blaze. Engine 1 was tasked to do the same. HazMat 2 was tasked to supervise the attack and to keep a close on the dangerous goods. Engine 11 was tasked to attack the tanker to prevent the fire from growing. Engine 1 was tasked to attack the base. Medic 1 was tasked to prepare a stretcher with ALS equipment and to standby. After thirty minutes the fire began to subside with no growth to the tanker of dangerous good. HazMat 2 was tasked to identify any hotspots. Medic 1 was tasked to prep for vital checkups on units. All units were then tasked for vital checks and hydration top-ups. Fire Marshal was on scene and was caught up to date with what had happened.
