Treatment Narrative
As I was working on rescuing the other two victims, in the meanwhile SASP ESU Trooper (the name is not known, in the following text referred to "ESU Trooper") found Emery Rodriguez (In the further text Rodriguez) and started taking care of him. As I was heading toward the scene I was notified that Rodriguez is in cardiac arrest and upon my arrival, I saw ESU Trooper ventilating Rodriguez with BVM, however, the airway WAS NOT secured. Rodriguez's chest was exposed and pads and/or probes weren't attached. After checking the vitals signs I've confirmed that Rodriguez doesn't have the pulse so I immediately started doing compressions, after nearly 30 compressions SBI Agent Tom March (March in the further text), who was also present on the scene, takes over the compressions. I've started the IO access in the tibial bone and asked ESU Trooper to attach the pads to Rodriguez's chest, however, my request wasn't executed at any moment. After I've attached the pads to Rodriguez's chest I've found that he is in Ventricular Fibrillation and lifepak advised the shock. (The CPR was preformed until this moment by March) After delivering the shock, I was able to confirm the return of spontaneous circulation at the rate of 41 beats per minute. After the ROSC I was left alone and I immediately started post-cardiac arrest treatment which included oxygen delivered by the NRB mask at the rate of 15 liters per minute and saline (the tranexamic acid was included too as there were indications for its usage). I waited for an additional unit (FD) to help me to take Rodriguez to the helipad where Copter 11 was ready for life-flight.
